Carmel Indiana Family Photography

Three years in a row, I have watched these kids grow. Three years in a row, I have gotten to witness the love between this family. Three years, and they are just as fun, down-to-earth and easy to work with as I remember. It's funny, because I always rave to others about this one family that has the most well-behaved children I have ever photographed. This is that family. And they have three of those children. They are doing something incredible with them, and I am so honored to have the privilege to capture their family behind the camera.

White River State Gardens Family Photography

There were a few great things to mention about this morning's session. For one, I found a pretty amazing location to shoot at, one that was always right in front of my eyes, and I had no idea. And two, I got to witness the blending of two families, and the love between them. They made it look easy, and it certainly was fun having a big open area all to ourselves.

Fall Maternity/Family Photoshoot Carmel Indiana

There's something to be said about maternity shoots. It is so exciting to be able to photograph a mother and a child that will be welcomed in this world in just a few short months, wondering and imagining what that child will look like just by looking at a family. I had such a great time photographing this sweet family of 4 [to be five!] and we definitely picked the most gorgeous day to do so. Sweet Sophia was the exact same age as my son, and I knew that this age would be a hard one, as pictures, smiling, and sitting still are not exactly what is on a toddler's agenda {and I don't blame them!} So a lot of leaf throwing, book reading, running around and trying to make her giggle got the job done. She was a trooper, and she had a great mom and dad that just went with the flow.

Beautiful day and a beautiful family.

Engagement Session Downtown Indianapolis; Winter; Kristyn & Erik

This is probably one of my ultimate favorite shoots, and I could probably post every single picture to share as a preview and still call them my favorites. But I'll leave a few surprises for Kristyn and Erik. The funny thing is that I thought it was going to be a complete fail simply because of the weather prediction that morning {which was complete spot on}. Crazy winds. Blowing wind. And although the weather read 31 degrees in my car {which was the highest in a long time}, with the wind in full swing, it felt more like 5.

Regardless, these two were complete troopers and were so down to Earth and easy to shoot!
